This year's IGF Annual General Meeting, held under the theme “Trust in an Interdependent World: Advancing Inclusion and Resilience in Mineral Value Chains,” focused on mining governance, responsible mining practices, environmental protection, community engagement, equitable sharing of mineral resource benefits, and critical mineral supply chains.

Ms. Uyanga Bold, Member of the State Great Hural (Parliament) of Mongolia; Ms. Gerelzaya Altangerel, Head of the Policy Coordination Division of the Small and Medium Enterprise Agency; and Ms. Khaliun Bayartsogt, Senior Specialist at the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources, participated as panelists in the discussions entitled “Where Nature Thrives, Communities Trust: Rethinking Socioenvironmental Performance in Mining,” “Governments as Enablers of Equitable Benefit Sharing: Building Trust Between Mining Companies and Communities,” and “State Participation in Mining: Models, Opportunities, and Trade-offs,” respectively.

The IGF brings together more than 80 member countries and supports international cooperation to strengthen mining policies and regulatory frameworks, maximize the economic and social benefits of mineral resources, and improve environmental protection.
