FORMER SDC REPRESENTATIVE TO MONGOLIA RECEIVED FOR A COURTESY MEETING
Geneva, 9 October 2026 – Ambassador Davaasuren Gerelmaa met with Dr. Stefanie Burri, former Head of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) Office in Ulaanbaatar, to exchange views on Mongolia-Switzerland cooperation.
Ambassador D. Gerelmaa expressed heartfelt appreciation for the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation's longstanding contribution to Mongolia’s socio-economic development and its important role in strengthening the bilateral relations between Mongolia and Switzerland which has long history of more than 60 years. She also thanked Ms Burri for her dedicated support and active engagements during her tenure in Mongolia as well as other former Heads of the SDC Office in Ulaanbaatar.
The two sides noted the successful implementation of numerous SDC-funded projects and programmes over the past two decades in areas such as trade and investment, democracy, human rights, environment, health, tourism, and SME development.
