MONGOLIA-SWITZERLAND PARLIAMENTARY FRIENDSHIP GROUPS LAUNCH COOPERATION
At the invitation of Mr. Laurent Wehrli, Member of the National Council of the Swiss Confederation and Chair of the Switzerland-Mongolia Parliamentary Friendship group, Ms. Batchimeg Purev, Member of the State Great Khural of Mongolia and Chair of the Mongolia-Switzerland Parliamentary Friendship group, together with Mr. Tsogtbaatar Davaa, Member of the State Great Khural and Vice-Chair of the Group, paid an official visit to Switzerland from 21 to 25 September 2026.
During the visit, the parliamentary delegation paid a courtesy call on Mr. Pierre-André Page, 2026 President of the National Council of the Swiss Confederation, and held bilateral meeting with Mr.Laurent Wehrli and members of the group.
The delegation also met with Mr.Markus Leitner, Deputy State Secretary and Head of the Asia-Pacific Division at the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs of Switzerland.
In addition, the delegation visited to the KLiK Foundation for Climate Protection and Carbon Offset, Switzerland Global Enterprise (S-GE), Switzerland's official trade and investment promotion agency, and Economiesuisse, the Swiss Business Federation. The parties exchanged views on bilateral cooperation and discussed practical collaboration to further strengthen the relations between Mongolia and Switzerland.
