“SWITZERLAND CUP 2026” NATIONAL KNUCKLE-BONE SHOOTING CHAMPIONSHIP SUCCESSFULLY HELD IN GENEVA
The “SWITZERLAND CUP 2026” National Knuckle-Bone Shooting Championship was successfully held in Geneva on 19-20 September 2026, with the aim of promoting Mongolian traditional knuckle-bone shooting (Shagai Kharvaa), one of Mongolia’s traditional national sports inscribed on the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity and ensuring the transmission of this valuable national heritage to younger generations.
The 17th European Branch Championship of the Mongolian National Knuckle-Bone Shooting Association, the 6th Championship of the Mongolian Traditional Bow Shooting Association, and the 4th “Switzerland Cup” Championship, organized under the auspices of the Embassy of Mongolia to the Swiss Confederation, brought together approximately 400 shooters from 50 teams representing 12 European countries, who competed in a spirit of sportsmanship and demonstrated their skill and precision.
