The 63rd session of the UN Human Rights Council is taking place in Geneva from 7 September to 7 October 2026. During the current session, the Council will hold 6 panel discussions, and 39 interactive dialogues with the High Commissioner, his Office (OHCHR), as well as with Special Procedure mandate holders and investigative mechanisms on a wide range of human rights issues.

In this context, on 14 September, H.E. Permanent Representative D. In her statement,  Ambassador D. Gerelmaa highlighted progress in the implementation of Sustainable Development Goal 6 on clean water and sanitation, while also addressing unique geographical, demographic, and climate-related factors, as well as the challenges encountered in ensuring access to water and sanitation. She further outlined measures being undertaken to improve sanitation services, including the upgrading and expansion of sanitation infrastructure in schools, kindergartens and public buildings.

The Mongolian delegation will continue to contribute to discussions on issues such as human rights education, core international human rights instruments and their implementation, as well as cooperation with the United Nations and its human rights mechanisms.
