THE SECOND CELEBRATION OF THE “MONGOLIAN NAADAM 2026" HELD IN GENEVA

11 July 2026, Geneva. The second celebration of the "Mongolian Naadam 2026 in Geneva" festival was successfully organized by “Bolor cargo” company, “GM Star” sports club, Mongolian-Swiss cultural association as well as other associations of Mongolians in Switzerland. 

The celebration commemorated the 2235th anniversary of Mongolian statehood, the 820th anniversary of the Great Mongol Empire, the 115th anniversary of the Restoration of National Freedom and Independence, the 105th anniversary of the People's Revolution, and the 36th anniversary of the Democratic Revolution of Mongolia. 

During the opening ceremony of the festival, representatives from Mongolian associations in Switzerland respectfully hoisted the State Nine White Banners of Mongolia followed by the greeting remarks of the main organizer, "Bolor Cargo" company, and the Embassy of Mongolia to the Swiss Confederation. 

This festival welcomed over 800 Mongolians and international friends and featured a traditional tournament of 32 traditional wrestlers, ankle-bone shooting (shagain kharvaa), and children's running races along with Mongolian cultural performances of the horsehead fiddle (morin khuur), Mongolian folk songs and traditional dances. 

The Embassy of Mongolia extends gratitude to the main organizers of the event, including "Bolor Cargo" company, "GM-Star" sports club and other associations, talented artists, and wide audience of more than 800 Mongolians and international friends who contributed to the success of this Mongolian national celebration.
