The Permanent Mission of Mongolia to the United Nations Office, the World Trade Organization (WTO), and other international organizations in Geneva, together with representatives of Mongolian businesses operating in Switzerland, participated in the WTO Open Day 2026, held on 5 July 2026 at the WTO headquarters in Geneva.

To mark the 100th anniversary of the WTO headquarters building, the Centre William Rappard, the WTO opened its doors to the public, inviting visitors to explore its historic premises and discover the stories behind the diverse collection of artworks donated by Member governments and other institutions over the years. The Centre William Rappard is the first building in Geneva specifically constructed to host an international organization.

The Open Day featured a wide range of activities, including exhibitions, guided tours, and programmes for children, as well as the opportunity for visitors to experience cuisines from around the world. The event welcomed more than 4,000 visitors.

Visitors to the Mongolian pavilion had the opportunity to explore Mongolia’s cashmere, wool, and handicraft products, taste traditional Mongolian cuisine, and experience Mongolia’s rich cultural heritage and traditions.

Mongolia has been a member of the World Trade Organization, a multilateral trading system with 166 Members, since 29 January 1997.
