PROSPECTS FOR COOPERATION DISCUSSED
On 20 April 2026, H.E. Ms. Davaasuren Gerelmaa, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Mongolia, held a meeting with H.E. Mr. Dimitar Nedyalkov, Deputy Minister of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Bulgaria.
During the meeting, Ambassador Gerelmaa emphasized that, for a landlocked country, digital transformation is a critical catalyst for accelerating economic development. She also delivered a concise briefing on the policies adopted and measures undertaken by the Government of Mongolia to advance the digitalization of public services.
The parties further exchanged views on prospects for expanding bilateral cooperation between Mongolia and the Republic of Bulgaria in the fields of information and communications technology development, the acceleration of digital transformation, the promotion of innovation, and the application of digital technologies to support sustainable development. They also discussed potential avenues for collaboration within the framework of the International Telecommunication Union.
Mongolia and the Republic of Bulgaria established diplomatic relations on 22 April 1950.
