FIFA President Gianni Infantino Awarded the “Friendship” Medal

By the decree of the President of Mongolia, H.E. Mr. Khurelsukh Ukhnaa, Giovanni Vincenzo Infantino, a citizen of the Swiss Confederation and President of the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA), was awarded the “Friendship” Medal in recognition of his contribution and dedication to promoting football globally, supporting the development of women’s football in Mongolia, strengthening the national team, and enhancing the training and capacity of international-level referees and coaches.

The medal was presented to President Gianni Infantino on February 11, 2026, at the FIFA headquarters in Zurich by H.E. Ms. Gerelmaa Davaasuren, Ambassador of Mongolia to the Swiss Confederation. The award ceremony was attended by Ts. Anandbazar, President of the Mongolian Football Federation, A. Ganbaatar, Vice President of the Asian Football Confederation, and Mattias Grafström, FIFA Secretary General.
