PARLIAMENTARY FRIENDSHIP GROUP BETWEEN SWITZERLAND AND MONGOLIA ESTABLISHED
The cooperation between the State Great Khural of Mongolia and the Parliament of Switzerland continues to deepen, reflecting the growing partnership between the two nations.
On December 16, 2025, the Swiss-Mongolian Parliamentary Group was officially established during the session of the National Council of Switzerland in Bern. The Group brings together 16 National Councilors and will be chaired by Mr. Laurent Wehrli, National Councilor and Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the National Council.
This milestone builds upon earlier efforts, where the Mongolian-Swiss Parliamentary Group was formed in August 2024 in the State Great Khural of Mongolia. The Group, chaired by Member of Parliament Ms. Batchimeg Purev, unites 11 Members of Parliament committed to strengthening bilateral dialogue and collaboration of the legislative bodies.
