Delegation of Mongolia attends the 16th UN Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD16) in Geneva
The Delegation of Mongolia, led by H.E. Ms. Davaasuren Gerelmaa, Ambassador Permanent Representative of Mongolia to the United Nations Office and other international organizations in Geneva, is attending the 16th United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), taking place in Geneva, Switzerland from 20 to 23 October 2025.
The UNCTAD Conference, held every four years, brings together heads of state and government, ministers, deputy ministers, experts, and representatives of civil society from over 190 countries. Participants engage in high-level discussions on multilateral trading systems, global trade and economic trends, investment, development policies, and multilateral cooperation.
The conference sets strategic priorities and implementation roadmap for UNCTAD over the next four years, building partnerships for inclusive growth.
On Monday, 20 October, Ambassador Davaasuren Gerelmaa delivered remarks at the General Debate of the Conference and in the Ministerial Meeting of the G77 and China Group in the capacity as Coordinator of the Group of Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDCs) in Geneva. Ambassador D. Gerelmaa presented the collective position of LLDCs Group and emphasized the unique challenges and development needs of LLDCs as well as the supports by the UNCTAD in its mandate in her statements.
