AMBASSADOR D.GERELMAA HELD A MEETING WITH DIRECTOR GENERAL, AMBASSADOR MARKUS LEITNER
Geneva, 29 September 2025. Ambassador Davaasuren Gerelmaa welcomed Ambassador Markus Leitner, Director General of the Asia and Pacific department of the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs of Switzerland at the Embassy of Mongolia.
During the meeting, Ambassador D.Gerelmaa congratulated Mr. Markus Leitner for his newly assumed duty of the Director General of the Asia and Pacific department, FDFA.
Both parties emphasized key achievements in the bilateral relations between Mongolia and Switzerland, and reiterated their active collaboration in expanding the cooperation in the politics, trade and economy, education, culture, and tourism sector.
Ambassador Davaasuren Gerelmaa and Director General Markus Leitner stressed the outcome of the historic visit paid by H.E. Ms. Viola Amherd, the President of Switzerland to Mongolia in 2024 in commemoration of the 60th anniversary the diplomatic relations between the two countries.
Both sides exchanged views on geopolitical situations and cooperation in the multilateral arena.
