H.E. MRS. DAVAASUREN GERELMAA, AMBASSADOR AND PERMANENT REPRESENTATIVE, DELIVERED THE OPENING REMARKS AT THE 8TH SESSION OF THE INTERGOVERNMENTAL GROUP OF EXPERTS ON E-COMMERCE AND THE DIGITAL ECONOMY

H.E. Mrs. Davaasuren Gerelmaa, Ambassador and Permanent Representative, has delivered the opening remarks at the 8th session of the Intergovernmental Group of Experts on E-commerce and the Digital Economy of the UN Trade and Development (UNCTAD), being held in Geneva, Switzerland, from 12 to 14 May 2025.

H.E. Mrs. Davaasuren Gerelmaa, Ambassador and Permanent Representative previously served as Vice-Chair of the 7th session of the Intergovernmental Group of Experts on E-commerce and the Digital Economy, which took place from 6 to 8 May 2024 in Geneva, Switzerland.

The primary objective of the Intergovernmental Group of Experts on E-commerce and the Digital Economy is to bolster UNCTAD's efforts in information and communications technologies, e-commerce, and the digital economy. The group seeks to reduce the digital divide and foster more inclusive knowledge societies.
