Ambassador D.Gerelmaa held a meeting with Mr. Laurent Werhli, Member of the National Council of Switzerland and exchanged views on bilateral relations of Mongolia and Switzerland.

At the meeting, Mr. Laurent Wehrli expressed his contentment for his fruitful visit to Mongolia in May 2024 and conveyed his willingness to strengthen the inter-parliamentary cooperation of the two countries.

Both side emphasized the outcome of the historic visit by H.E. Viola Amherd, President of Switzerland to Mongolia in August 2024 and reiterated the mutual interests to cooperate closely for implementations of these high-level visits at the margin of the 60th anniversary of theestablishment of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and Switzerland.

The Federal Assembly of Switzerland consists of two chambers: a 200-member National Council (upper house) and a 46-member Council of States (lower house)
