AMBASSADOR D.GERELMAA HELD A MEETING WITH GENEVA LEADERS

Ambassador D. Gerelmaa met with Mr. Antonio Hodgers, the President of the National Council of Geneva and Mr. Alfonso Gomez, the Mayor of Geneva on 23 May 2024.

During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on the bilateral relations and cooperation between the two countries and series of joint activities for commemorating the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between Mongolia and the Swiss Confederation.

Ambassador D.Gerelmaa appreciated the assistance from Swiss side and expressed her hopes for their continuous fruitful collaboration for cultural, sports and traditional art events organized by Mongolian communities.

The President of the National Council of Geneva and Mayor of Geneva affirmed their faith in the bilateral cooperation between the two countries and their willingness to be supportive in organizing various activities by the Embassy of Mongolia and Mongolian community.

The city of Geneva hosts 39 international organizations, including United Nations Office in Geneva, about 750 NGOs and the Diplomatic Missions of 181 countries.  Annually, more than 5,000 conferences are organised in face-to-face, teleconference or hybrid mode in Geneva.
