THE DELEGATION OF MONGOLIA IS ATTENDING THE SEVENTY-SEVENTH WORLD HEALTH ASSEMBLY
The Seventy-seventh World Health Assembly is taking place in Geneva from May 27 to June 1, 2024. The theme for this year’s Assembly is “All for Health, Health for All.”
H.E. Ms. Gerelmaa Davaasuren, Permanent Representative of Mongolia to the United Nations Office in Geneva, and Ms. Yanjmaa Binderiya, Director of the International Cooperation Division of the Ministry of Health, are attending the Seventy-seventh World Health Assembly.
H.E. Ms. Gerelmaa Davaasuren delivered a statement during the Plenary Session of the Seventy-seventh World Health Assembly on May 28, 2024. In her statement, H.E. Ms. Gerelmaa Davaasuren reiterated the Government of Mongolia’s unwavering commitment to advancing health and well-being for all, ensuring enhanced protection for all individuals, especially vulnerable populations, and enabling them to attain optimal health and safety.
At the Seventy-seventh World Health Assembly, member states are focusing on increasing access to universal health coverage and immunization, defeating polio, malaria, HIV, and other diseases, countering growing antimicrobial resistance, ensuring better maternal and reproductive health outcomes, and strengthening preparedness and response to health emergencies.
