ENHANCING COOPERATION WITH SWITZERLAND WAS DISCUSSED

During his visit to the Swiss Confederation from 11 to 14 March 2024, State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs N.Ankhbayar held meetings with Deputy State Secretary of the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs of the Swiss Confederation Ambassador T.Gruber and Executive Director Ambassador T.Greminger of the Geneva Center for Security Studies (GCSP).

In Bern, discussions with Ambassador T.Gruber centered on enhancing bilateral relations and cooperation, particularly in light of the upcoming 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and Switzerland on 22 May 2024.

Meanwhile, talks with Ambassador T.Greminger focused on exploring avenues to broaden collaboration through joint research endeavors and project implementation on Northeast Asian security issues, in collaboration with GCSP and similar research institutions in Mongolia.

This visit by State Secretary N.Ankhbayar was pivotal in showcasing Mongolia's commitment to global and regional security and indicating the prospects of bilateral relations and cooperation between the two nations.
