EXCHANGED VIEWS ON THE PREPERATION OF THE 13TH WTO MINISTERIAL CONFERENCE
On 2nd February, Permanent Representative Mrs. Davaasuren Gerelmaa held a meeting with Ambassador Uyama Tomochika, Senior Advisor of the Director General of the World Trade Organization at the Permanent Mission of Mongolia in Geneva.
During the meeting, both exchanged perspectives on the multilateral trading system, addressing pertinent issues within the WTO, and discussed preparations for the upcoming 13th WTO Ministerial Conference scheduled to take place from 26th to 29th February 2024 in Abu Dhabi, the United Arab Emirates.
Ambassador Davaasuren Gerelmaa conveyed an invitation to Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iveala, Director General of the WTO to participate in the World Women’s Forum (WWF) to be hosted in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia in August 2024 as well.
Mongolia has been a member of WTO, a multilateral trade organization with 164 members since 29 January 1997.
