COOPERATION WITH SDC WAS DISCUSSED

Bern, 30 January 2024. Ambassador of Mongolia D.Gerelmaa met with Ambassador Arno Wicki, Assistant Director General and Head of the Asia, Latin America and Caribbean Division of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) on 30 January 2024.

During the meeting, both parties highlighted the successful implementation of SDC projects in Mongolia and explored potential areas for continued collaboration beyond the conclusion of the SDC programme in Mongolia in the beginning of 2024. The Ambassador and the SDC Assistant Director General expressed mutual interest in further strengthening the ties between the two nations and identifying new avenues for cooperation that align with the developmental goals of Mongolia.

Both parties emphasized the importance of the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and Switzerland, which is set to be celebrated on 22 May 2024, as a milestone in fostering enduring diplomatic ties and exchanges between the two countries.
