Vatican City, 08 January 2024. On the occasion of the New Year, Pope Francis received the members of Diplomatic Corps at the Holy See. Addressing the diplomats, he discussed the prevalent conflicts and divisions worldwide, underscoring the shared responsibility of individuals and nations in fostering harmony.

Expressing gratitude for the warm reception extended during his visit to Mongolia last year, Pope Francis highlighted Mongolia as a beacon of hope amidst today's challenging international landscape.

Representing the Diplomatic Corps at the Holy See, Ambassador Georgios F. Poulides of Cyprus conveyed New Year's greetings and reflected on the outcomes of the Papal Visits in 2023. Ambassador Poulides emphasized the Pope's call for collective efforts, particularly noting the focus on harmony with environment and the balance between technical progress, and the pursuit of spiritual harmony during the visit to Mongolia.
