SIGNING CEREMONY WAS HELD
On November 13, Mongolia and the Republic of Uzbekistan signed the Protocol of the Agreement on the successful conclusion of the negotiations on the Republic of Uzbekistan's accession to the World Trade Organization.
From Mongolian side, H.E. Mrs. Gerelmaa Davaasuren, Ambassador of Mongolia to the World Trade Organizations, from Uzbekistan side, Mr. Azizbek Urunov, Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan in WTO issues and Chief negotiator,
signed the Protocol.
Since the Republic of Uzbekistan submitted the application of accession to the WTO in 1994, it has been gradually completing relevant preparations and actively conducting bilateral negotiations with the WTO Member states. As a landlocked developing country, Uzbekistan is supported by Mongolia and the bilateral agreement protocol was finally concluded between Mongolia and the Republic of Uzbekistan, in October last.
