Switzerland is known for its vocational education and training system, which is widely cited as a key driver of its economic success. In Switzerland, apprentices learn their profession not only in school but mainly in the workplace, and employers play a central role in the system. Switzerland has some of the lowest levels of unemployment, especially youth unemployment, in the world.
