MONGOLIAN FILM "TRIO" TO BE SCREENED IN GENEVA

Following the adoption by the General Assembly of resolution A/RES/66/149 proclaiming 21 March as World Down Syndrome Day, on the sidelines of the 52nd regular session of the Human Rights Council and the 28th Session of the Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, the Permanent Mission of Mongolia and the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights will screen the internationally recognized and award-winning Mongolian film “TRIO”.

Following the screening, a panel discussion will be held with the movie's producer and experts to address and raise awareness of the negative impact of the historical terminology 'mongol' on the human rights of individuals with Down syndrome.
