Exploring Opportunities for Collaboration in Livestock Industry

Geneva, 27 February 2023. Permanent Representative and Ambassador of Mongolia D.Gerelmaa held a meeting today with the Head of the Secretariat of the WTO Standards and Trade Development Facility (STDF) M.Spreij, Deputy Head M.Hopper and the UN FAO Geneva officer J.Pinto and discussed their views on further cooperation.

At the meeting, Ambassador D.Gerelmaa drew attention to the successful implementation of the Animal Identification and Registration Systems (AIRS) Project, which was carried out between 2019 and 2022 within the STDF's program. The Ambassador also explored prospects for further collaboration within the context of Mongolia's agriculture e-reform policy framework. 

M.Spreij, the Head of the STDF Secretariat, expressed his gratitude for the positive evaluation of the program's implementation and reiterated the organization's dedication to exploring potential projects that could benefit Mongolia.
