Diplomatic Relations between Mongolia and the Swiss Confederation

Establishment of Relations

Diplomatic relations between Mongolia and the Swiss Confederation were officially established on 22 May 1964.

Relations are conducted through the Permanent Mission of Mongolia in Geneva and the Embassy of Switzerland in Beijing.

  • H.E. Mrs. Davaasuren Gerelmaa, Ambassador of Mongolia to the Swiss Confederation, presented her Letter of Credence on 28 June 2022.
  • H.E. Mr. Jürg Burri, Ambassador of Switzerland accredited to Mongolia, was appointed in September 2022 and presented his Letter of Credence on 16 November 2023.

Status of Relations

Mongolia and Switzerland maintain cordial and mutually beneficial relations, with a tradition of high-level exchanges and constructive political dialogue.

Parliamentary Cooperation

For the 2024–2028 legislative term of the State Great Khural of Mongolia, the Mongolia–Switzerland Parliamentary Group is chaired by Ms. P. Batchimeg.
