REPRESENTATIVES OF THE PERMANENT MISSION AND EMBASSY OF MONGOLIA MET WITH STUDENTS FROM COLLÈGE ÉMILIE-GOURD IN GENEVA
Representatives of the Permanent Mission and Embassy of Mongolia in Geneva welcomed a group of students from Collège Émilie-Gourd who are preparing to represent Mongolia at the upcoming Students United Nations (SUN) conference.
During the meeting, the representatives briefed the students on Mongolia’s foreign policy priorities, its engagement in international affairs and multilateral cooperation, as well as the country’s history, cultural heritage, traditions, and socioeconomic development.
Particular attention was given to Mongolia’s geographical position as a landlocked country and the associated challenges and opportunities in transport connectivity, logistics, international trade, and economic development. The representatives outlined Mongolia’s policies and measures to address these challenges. They also highlighted the country’s efforts and initiatives within the United Nations and other international organizations to advance the common interests of landlocked developing countries and promote their sustainable development. The representatives also answered questions from the students.
The representatives commended the students for their dedication to learning about Mongolia and wished them every success at the upcoming conference, scheduled to take place from 10 to 12 February 2027.
The meeting provided a valuable opportunity to deepen awareness and understanding of Mongolia’s foreign policy, history, and culture among young people in Switzerland and to promote greater knowledge of the country.
