EXCHANGED VIEWS ON POTENTIAL COLLABORATION IN THE GOLD SECTOR
Mendrisio, 27 August 2026. Ambassador Davaasuren Gerelmaa paid a visit to Argor Heraeus SA, a leading Swiss gold refinery based in Mendrisio.
During the meeting, warmly welcomed by Mr. Robin Kolvenbach, CEO, and Mr. Angelo Rizzella, Head of Sustainability, Ambassador D. Gerelmaa conveyed her appreciation for the long standing cooperation between the Bank of Mongolia and Argor Heraeus SA, a globally recognized actor in the gold sector.
Both sides extended their willingness to explore new avenues of collaboration in the gold refining industry, based on the ongoing project jointly implemented by the Swiss Better Gold Association (SBGA) and the Bank of Mongolia in support of artisanal and small scale mining (ASM).
The project aims to facilitate the export of responsibly sourced gold meeting the standards established under the Swiss Better Gold Association programme, ultimately supplying luxury jewelry manufacturers, member consumers of the Association.
