PERMANENT REPRESENTATIVES EXCHANGE VIEWS ON COOPERATION

H.E. Mrs. Davaasuren Gerelmaa, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Mongolia met with H.E. Mr. Idris Latreche, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria, on 20 August 2026.

During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on ways to further expand cooperation between Mongolia and the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria within the framework of the United Nations and other international organizations.

They also discussed cooperation within the United Nations Human Rights Council, including the Universal Periodic Review, as well as opportunities for mutual support and collaboration through international human rights mechanisms.

Ambassador and Permanent Representative Davaasuren Gerelmaa briefed her counterpart on the outcomes of United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights Volker Türk’s official visit to Mongolia in May 2026.

Mongolia and the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria established diplomatic relations on 25 June 1961.
