Geneva, 02 June 2026. A Mongolian delegation to participate to the World Dog Show 2026, scheduled to take place in Bologna, Italy on 6–7 June 2026, visited the Embassy of Mongolia in Geneva during their transit through Switzerland.

This year, the World Dog Show will bring together 31,050 dogs globally, making it one of the most prestigious events in the international canine community. Mongolia will be represented by members of the Mongolian Bankhar Association and the Mongolian Kennel Association, who will showcase the country’s unique canine heritage.

During the meeting, Mr. Toshoo Tuvshintur, Head of the Association, emphasized the delegation’s aspiration to promote Mongolia’s nomadic culture, its harmonious relationship with nature, and the millennia old traditions regarding the breeding, raising, and training of the Mongolian Bankhar. He noted that the Associations aim to raise international awareness of the Mongolian Bankhar as a cultural symbol and an integral part of Mongolian traditional pastoral way of life.

Ambassador D. Gerelmaa welcomed the delegation, exchanged views on their upcoming participation, and conveyed her best wishes for their success at the international competition.
