MONGOLIA IS ACTIVE IN EFFORTS TO SUPPORT WOMEN ENTREPRENEURS

🇲🇳Geneva, 1 June 2026. At the regular session of the WTO Informal Working Group on Trade and Gender, Ms. Saruul Bulgan, Executive Director of the Mongolian National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MNCCI) successfully presented updates on the progress of the “WEIDE – Women Exporters in the Digital Economy fund” project in Mongolia.
The project, jointly launched by the WTO and the International Trade Centre (ITC) in the four pilot countries, Mongolia, the Dominican Republic, Jordan, and Niger, currently involves 45 Mongolian women entrepreneurs, who are benefiting comprehensive support aimed at expanding digitalization and increasing exports.
🇲🇳Geneva, 2 June 2026. A signing ceremony was held to extend the implementation period of the “SheTrades Hub Mongolia” initiative, established under the Memorandum of Understanding between MNCCI and the International Trade Centre (ITC) in Geneva.
Ms. Saruul Bulgan, Executive Director of MNCCI and Ms. Pamela Coke Hamilton, ITC Executive Director officially signed the Memorandum and exchanged views on the broader cooperation between Mongolia and ITC.
Ambassador D. Gerelmaa, Permanent Representative of Mongolia to the UN Office and other international organizations in Geneva, attended the signing ceremony and delivered congratulatory remarks.
In her remarks, Ambassador D. Gerelmaa expressed confidence that the continued cooperation, reflecting the support of ITC to Mongolia and an active engagement of MNCCI, will significantly enhance the access to the global trade and economic benefits for women led small and medium sized enterprises of Mongolia.
