AMBASSADOR ATTENDS THE SOLEMN CEREMONY OF THE INAUGURATION OF THE PONTIFICATE

On May 16th and 18th 2025, Ambassador of Mongolia to the Holy See H.E. Ms. Gerelmaa Davaasuren participated in the Solemn Ceremony of the Inauguration of the Pontificate of His Holliness Pope Leo XIV in Vatican.

On May 18th, during the meeting with Pope Leo, Ambassador delivered a congratulatory letter from President of Mongolia H.E. Mr. Khurelsukh Ukhnaa.

In his inaugural address, Pope Leo emphasized themes of unity, love, and global peace.

He called for strengthened cohesion within the Catholic Church and underscored the importance of justice and long-term global stability.

The event marked the beginning of his papacy, with world leaders, religious representatives, and more than 260,000 faithful gathering to witness the historic occasion.
